Joel:
Doing just fine. He is getting a little tired of doing the 4 hr commute to the cities each day, but as it gets nicer & nicer he knows that it is a sacrifice that is has been looking forward to....being at the lake full-time. His job transfer to the lake was supposedly to take place on April 1st, but that is on hold right now temporarily. We are just waiting for updates from corporate in Toronto, Canada.
Amy:
Also is doing fine. Enjoying being a household manager, homemaker and working from home. Working as an agent for Styer Logisitics was the most wonderful thing that I have done in a long time. I know the Lord was giving me a boot in the butt when I walked out on T Brothers for not letting me have my shoulder surgery. Business has been doing fine, with Sheldini being one of my greatest supporters. Without him......I won't be doing as well as I am. Shoulder is doing as well could be expected. I went back to the cities for a post-op check and I have little to no "wipe the butt" rotation. Dr wants to go back in for another surgery to debris the cavity. I think I have had enough. I'm hoping to be riding the jet ski this summer and maybe fall off & debris it myself. I hope if it happens I have a ton of adult beverages in me for medicine.
Jonathan:
Is becoming quite the man. He has just over 2 months until he graduates. His studies are coming along nicely & his music is fabulous.
Cabin Remodel:
Main floor bathroom finally complete! Well, almost. As true form in the Waage's house, it looks complete....so it is.

We had our first visitor of the year......Sheldon. He came up for some cribbage, man bonding & a couple of beers. It was just what Joel needed. He even brought dinner for Saturday night......T Bone Steaks that we grilled. Holy crap! they were awesome. Thanks for the treat Sheldini!!! Looking forward to the summer season when everybody comes to visit on the weekends for sun, boating & cocktails. We sure do miss our friends.
Cars:
Well had a small catastrophe with the Saturn. Joel has been driving the Honda, because of the long miles he puts on (1000 miles a week), so Jonathan has been sharing the Saturn with me if I need a car during the day. So on Tuesday I am on my way down to Chippewa Falls & I dropped the transmission onto highway 53 @ exit 102.....exit 99 is where we get off to go to Oktoberfest. So $75.00 later ......car gets towed to Chippewa Falls and poor Steve has to come to pick me up from the side of the road & continue to take me to Chippewa Falls for my appt. Steve left me there & Joel had to come from Mpls to rescue me. Now are down to 1 car & obliviously Joel has it, so we are stuck. One day I had to get to the bank in town really really bad, so I hopped onto the bike on a beautiful day.....holy shit! I thought I was going to die! I have gained weight since before, during & after my surgery, so I am so out of shape. Just a year ago, I would have been able to do that 8 mile run without even a huff or a puff. Dam shoulder! Anyways, Pam's son Cliff works on cars, so we decided not to repair the Saturn because of it's age but instead repair the Aveo. So we towed it to Boyceville, WI & Cliff should have it completed by the end of this week. Yea.....Joel can have the Aveo & I can have my car back!
SSP House:
I think we are up to 145 showings since October 30 when the house went on the market. We have had 3 offers. First one, $155,000 + we pay them $4,000 cash at closing + they wanted our furniture..........not! Second one, $169,000 contract for deed with $5,000 cash down.....nope! Third one, $159,000 + $we pay them $4,500 cash at closing. Well when that one came in we had the full price offer on the contract for deel & our Realtor told them that we had the full price offer on a CD so in order for them to get it, they would have to offer a full price offer. Well, they didn't have it. Now we are back to square 1. People are out looking above their means/pre qualified for hoping someone is desperate to get rid of their property. We have decided that if we don't sell by the April 30th deadline, we are just going to rent it out.
Jack:
Our newest member is adjusting to family life very well.

Ice Out:
Boy the lake is surely looking dark, which is a sign of the impending ice out. We have been taking pictures showing the ice out as it happens, so stay tuned:
So that should be it in a nut shell.........
Hope everyone is doing well and we look forward to seeing everyone in the next couple of months. Remember 3rd annual Memorial Bash is coming up in 2 months.........Start thinking about sending your RSVP now & making your sleeping accommodations if necessary.
